Paramus, NJ - The Paramus Environmental Commission, in association with the PHS Green Team, is hosting its annual Earth Day celebration on Sunday, April 23rd, from 12pm-3pm at the Band Shell at the newly re-opened Paramus Public Library on Century Road. Rain or shine. Admission is free.
This year's themes are "Stand for What You Stand On" and "I Run on Renewable Energy."
Over two dozen local and environmental businesses will be in attendance, providing a great opportunity to learn and ask questions. This family-friendly event will give local businesses an opportunity to display electric/hybrid vehicles, solar energy and smart home technology, tree preservation, organic pest control solutions, and much more.
Children can get their faces painted as their favorite animal (courtesy of Artistic Giraffe) while DJ Shawn Herrick spins your favorite tunes. Special guest "Wildman" Steve Brill will be leading interpretive tours to educate residents about foraging and Paramus's natural wonders.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase by local vendors, including Soul Frito U.S.A. and J&J Italian Ice. Free coffee will be provided by Starbucks.
Come by 1pm to hear the national anthem, sung by Danielle Denoia, and get to know your elected officials.
The Paramus Environmental Commission enhances the quality of life in Paramus by directing attention and organizing programs to protect the environment.
